CEC Medals
OVERVIEW
These look like tokens but are not as they were not used to obtain goods or play games. Since some collectors have these medals in their collection alongside the tokens, they are included on this website.
The commemorative medals were used to commemorate company anniversaries as well as commemorating conventions or gatherings. M01 was given out only to shareholders to celebrate the company's 25th anniversary, and M04 was given to children on their birthday at Chuck E. Cheese’s during the year 2017 to celebrate the company's 40th anniversary. M03aA[Gold] was given to attendees of a CEC banquet in New Orleans, and the M04pB[Pink, Orange, and White] medals were given out to high level employees at the 2013 franchise convention.
The plastic medals were used as prizes for obtaining a certain number of tickets at the arcade games.
DESIGNS
These Medals utilize portraits from the "Adult Mouse", "Juvenile Mouse", and "Baby Mouse" designs. The commemorative medals contain specific information regarding the event being commemorated.
METAL COMPOSITION
Different medal compositions were used including brass, nickel plated brass, anodized aluminum, and plastic.
